Corin Sands was born in 1971 and grew up in a village between Bath and Bristol. Whilst still at school he enrolled for evening classes in life drawing, developing his eye for painting through his Art Foundation year in Bath. He then furthered his art studies at Liverpool John Moore’s University.

Ever since his youth he has been involved in restoration projects. In 1996, Corin, his two brothers and their father were asked to repaint over 1000 heraldic shields for St. George’s Hall at Windsor Castle. The original “Knights of the Garter” shields were lost in the major fire in 1992.

He also works on creative projects having been commissioned to design and paint murals and decorative paint work, mainly in London clubs and restaurants, as well as in the Shakespeare's Globe theatre.

Alongside these projects, Corin has always continued to work on his own canvases, specialising in landscapes and woodland painting.

In 2006 Corin started shifting his life from the UK to Germany, where he is now living with his wife and two children.
